Embalming And Make-Up Service
Embalming is the process of treatment for the deceased using chemicals and cosmetics in preserving/or to revert the looks of the departed one while in a bid to slow down the rate of decomposition of the body. Reason for doing this is to offer a better presentation for a last glimpse of how the departed once look like, for all visiting mourners and well-wishers. At Christian Funeral Services Singapore, as part of the Christian Funeral Service Package, this is an important part of our service in preparation of the departed one in a fair manner for the final sending off Christian funeral ceremony.
The embalming process is done mainly by removing blood from the veins and contents from the organs of the the departed one; before filling up the spaces or cavities with a formaldehyde-based chemicals. Formaldehyde is all but a simple compound of different chemicals, namely Oxygen; Hydrogen and Carbon. Formaldehyde is well known not only for its preservative functionalities but also anti-bacterial properties on the treated surfaces.
Make-up And Outer Grooming Procedures
Applying make-up to the body of the departed one has only a single aim; and that is to bring back the original lively look of the departed one so as to achieve the same, if not similar way of how the departed one once had looked like when he/she was alive. This is so as to allow the memories of the visiting mourners and well-wishers of the departed one, to be that of the last glimpse taken of the dearly departed at the funeral procession. The components applied on the departed one are the commonly used cosmetics like for example lipsticks; brushes; moisturizing cream and etc. Grooming procedures like styling of hair and wearing of personal belongings/clothes are also included as part of the process in a bid to revert the degenerating condition of the human body to a condition that is closest to what was like when the departed one was once alive.
